Eastern Kingbirds

Yesterday afternoon I took my kayak out on the Quaboag River for a few hours to do some photography. The Quaboag River flows out of Quaboag Pond, which is a large, very weedy lake. The river is slow flowing and passes through some very nice marsh habitats. I was hoping on getting some photos of a Great Blue Heron, but they were not cooperative at all and would fly off well before I could get into photo distance. I ended up finding lots of kingbirds and this individual was very tame allowing me to get extremely close. I went home with some nice photos of this bird, and will be planning on getting out there again to get some more images.
