More from Misquamicut

Tuesday's trip to Misquamicut wasn't very successful for photography since I only processed about 8 shots that I took. I thought I would make another post and show you two other photos I was happy with. The first one is the same Green Heron who I showed in my last post. This image is full frame. Which image do you like better?

This bird below is a Glossy Ibis and this was the only decent shot I was able to get of this species. It was taken at the same tiny marsh as the green heron was taken and where the sandpipers were. I saw an ibis fly in and then take off once it saw me, and he kept coming back and doing the same thing. I went to the back of the marsh where there were some reeds which I could use for hiding myself so the birds would come in. It worked and I took this as the bird was coming in for a landing. I wasn't able to get any shots of the bird on the ground, though.

  1. Great images Josh!
I think I like this Green Heron image over the other one you posted, both are really good though. I like bird in habitat shots a lot.
Nice tactic for getting the Ibis image, the two White Faced Ibis I saw yesterday were sort of doing the same thing to me, I wish I could have gotten a shot like this though!
