Welcome to my photo blog! I am 20 years old and live in central Massachusetts. I've been interested in nature photography for many years, but decided to get serious at the age of 15. My favorite subject to photograph is without a doubt birds. I also love shooting wildlife, macro, flowers, and most recently landscapes. This blog is where I will share my most recent images. I appreciate any comments or questions you may have, so please feel free!

Process Comparison
Below are two images that are from the same RAW file but the top one was processed on my old computer monitor and the second one was just done on my laptop. Which one looks more realistic color wise? The second version that I just did on the laptop seems much more redder that the older one does. I'm not sure if it has something to do with how my laptop is calibrated, but I would like to hear someones opinion on the two images.

Hey Josh, I think the first one looks the best color wise, but the second shows better detail, especially in the eye. I find myself liking both versions. Nice shot BTW!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I too like both versions. The first might be more natural, but I do like the second version, which looks like it has increased reds.
ReplyDeleteYou should put up an original, untouched file. I am always curious how much change people get from shooting in RAW.
