Yesterday my 40D was returned from Canon after I had them repair the focussing issue. After a few test shots I am happy to say that it seems to be working much better. I haven't been able to shoot anything exciting with it yet, but hopefully I will be able to go to the beach one day next week to shoot some migrant shorebirds.
This image of a female Bobolink was created two summers ago at Daniel Webster Wildlife Sanctuary in Marshfield, MA. On this particular trip this species was on the top of my want list, and I was really pleased to have walked away with a few first time images. I also received my copy of APTATS (Advanced Photostop Techniques and Tips Simplified) 1 CD yesterday which was created by Robert O'toole. This CD has some really nice tips in it, particularly the quick mask object removal. Using this new technique, I reprocessed this image and removed a few distracting blades of grass in the photo.

Beautiful image. Great singing pose and background. Details are very nice.
ReplyDeleteThe CD sounds interesting, I'll have to look into it!
The Pic given here is very nice. The bird is looking very nice and it seems to be that it would have very nice voice.
