More from AK, and problem with 40D

To keep you all updated, I recently purchased a like new refurbished Canon 40D from eBay and received it two days later. I was really pumped to have upgraded from my 20D since I have had it for a while now and was excited to check out the new features. I tested it out the following day on a trip to Parker River National Wildlife Refuge and the results were very dissapointing. Out of about the 250 images I shot, one image was sharp and in focus. The camera was quick to locate the subject, yet the resulting image was out of focus. Even using a tripod with a non moving subject and high shutter speeds, the results were the same. So yesterday I sent it off to the Canon Service Center in Jamesburg, NJ for repair. Thankfully it's still under warranty and it won't cost me a thing. Just hope Canon can correct the focussing issue, and I can get it back sooner than later! Anyways, here are three more images from my trip to AK last month.

Arctic Ground Squirrel, Eielson Visitor Center, Denali NP..this guy was so tame, I even saw him walking over people's shoes hoping to get some food!

  1. Some really great shots here Josh. Perfect exposure and details in them all. Sorry you had to send the 40D in to Canon, they are usually pretty quick to get equipment back, about 10-14 days for me. Anyway, look forward to seeing some images from it when you get it back. It's a great camera!
