Barred Owl

Here's one from today at the Quabbin Reservoir. Me and two of my friends were walking along a trail when I noticed this owl perched low on this branch a little ways off the trail. Walking slowly and quietly, I was able to get within photographing distance. I was very excited to get this image because I have been longing to photograph an owl for a very long time and finally I was successful.

  1. Awesome! What a beautiful bird. I have crappy shots of a few species of owls, but none that I would bother sharing with anyone. I'd be stoked to get an image like this :)

  2. Man, lucky you Josh! I have yet to find a owl and photograph it. Excellent shot with great details and nice flash work.
