Rutland State Park

This weekend I was able to get out for a little bit at one of my favorite local spots, Rutland State Park. There wasn't much activity going on, and unfortunately Massachusetts is behind this spring. It's already April and I have not heard one spring peeper and there is still ice of the ponds. Thankfully, I only have four weeks left of school!!!

These two images below were taken about 45 minutes from each other. I was pleased to get a few sunset photos since it was my first time being out to photograph a decent sunset. Both images were shot with the 40D and 17-40 f4, and I used Photomatix to combine 6 images varying 1 stop of exposure. Thanks for looking.

  1. Very nice shots, Josh. I've never been to Rutland State Park, but it looks like a pretty place.
    Spring will get here eventually.

  3. Thanks for the comments. Steve, you should come visit and I could show you around sometime. This place is very reliable for snakes, and there is also some impressive sized bass in the lake.
