Goldmine Brook Falls, Chester, MA
Located in the Chester-Blandford State Forest, and less then 100 yards from Rt 20, Goldmine Brook Falls is a beautiful waterfall which is very difficult to find if you do not know the area. I went with a friend a week ago to visit these falls, and we ended up wasting a good amount of time hiking up a different stream thinking it was the right area. We had to drive a little ways down the road, and once you see the stream, the waterfall is not far into the woods. The falls and the surroundings are gorgeous, which is located within a gorge. The falls themselves are somewhat difficult to photograph, as angles for good views are limited. Below are my two favorites, the first is a classic view of the falls, while the second is viewed from the base.
