Red Fox Kits

I recently began a new job working at a nearby campground, which is less than half a mile from my house. While working earlier this morning on my boss's property, we noticed a fox den not far into the woods. This is the first time I've ever encountered an active fox den, and apparently they come back year after year. After I finished work and got home, I decided to head over to the den in hopes of capturing a few images. The setting is rather busy, and the lighting is terrible, but I am just pleased to have finally photographed fox kits at their den. If time allows I will most likely make another appearance next weekend when I come home again, since I need to make the most of this great opportunity. Below are two images, which are my best of today's shoot. Images taken with 400 f5.6 lens and 430EX II for fill flash, and the top image with a 1.4x TC.
