Spring Warblers

May is without a doubt one of my top favorite months for shooting. There are so many subjects around it can be difficult to choose what to shoot. Easily the most fun to shoot around at this time, atleast for me, are the various types of warblers that can be heard singing to defend their breeding grounds. I wanted to work on some species that I haven't photographed yet this spring, but I always seem to find cooperative individuals of species I already have good images of. Since you can never have too many good warbler images, there's no reason not to take the time and photograph them. Below is a Chestnut-sided Warbler from this morning, found along a power line trail. I beleive that is a spider in its mouth.

The next two are from two afternoons ago shot a favorite place of mine, Winimusett wildlife management area in New Braintree, MA. This is the place where I photographed the Yellow Warbler that got published in Massachusetts Wildlife. The first image is a Black-and-White Warbler, and the second is a Common Yellowthroat.

The more I watch them, the more I like.

    My best regards.
