I also experimented with some outdoor recreation type shots like the one below. I had my friend Justin place the canoe in the frame and waited until he stopped, and this one was by far the best result. Each image is three images at -2, 0, and +2 exposure compensation combined in photomatix.
Welcome to my photo blog! I am 20 years old and live in central Massachusetts. I've been interested in nature photography for many years, but decided to get serious at the age of 15. My favorite subject to photograph is without a doubt birds. I also love shooting wildlife, macro, flowers, and most recently landscapes. This blog is where I will share my most recent images. I appreciate any comments or questions you may have, so please feel free!

Back from northern Maine
This past weekend was my vacation for the summer, and I'm happy to say I had a great time. Our group of sixteen including me stayed at a campground on Pockwockamus Pond, just minutes from the entrance to Baxter State Park. I did some exploring on Saturday through the park while everyone else was rafting in hopes of photographing a moose but was unlucky. A trip at dawn or dusk would have been a better idea, but there just wasn't enough time to do it all. Saturday's sunset was very nice, and I took a few photos from the shores of the pond.
I also experimented with some outdoor recreation type shots like the one below. I had my friend Justin place the canoe in the frame and waited until he stopped, and this one was by far the best result. Each image is three images at -2, 0, and +2 exposure compensation combined in photomatix.

Beautiful ones Josh! Love the color and comp in the first image. Great setting in the second, as well as a nice comp and perfect reflections.
